This is all the information you need to quickly register a domain name on the internet, and have it hosted with NetHeaven. Just be sure to follow each of these steps, and you can't go wrong! If you would be interested in more information, you can refer to our all about domains page. If you have any questions, you can always email support.
The most difficult part of registering a domain name can be coming up with the name itself. Remember to use whois to ensure that the name you want is avaliable.
Registrars range widely in terms of service, price and reliability. You should try to find one that is recommended by a friend or that has received favorable reviews.
You will need to supply names, addresses, and contact information for your registrant, administrative contact, and billing contact. Email addresses that you provide for contact should not be from within your new domain in case of future problems.
If you do not use Network Solutions as your registrar, this is the contact information you will need to use for your technical contact:
St. Peters, Richard stpeters@netheaven.com NetHeaven 28 Clinton St. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 518-587-8904
If you use Network Solutions as your registrar, you can specify the technical constact by "handle." Specify "RS134" as the handle.
We may not be able to host your domain here if the technical contact is listed incorrectly.

Once you have registered your name, contact our support staff so that we can configure your account. We will configure your email mappings, 'www' subdomain, and name service. It may take anywhere from 24 hours to several days for your new name to propagate accross the DNS system; during that time your name will only work on our network. Your friends at other ISP's will not be able to use your name until their name server refreshes and loads information about new domains from the global top level domain servers.
